The application of organic matter may increase soil P availability by mineralization. The mineralization of organic forms of phosphorus (P) in soil contributes significantly to plant P uptake. Laboratory incubations of amended soil provide useful information on the relative decomposability of organic mater. The aim of this study was to study the rate P mineralization of flooded soil and dry soil in an incubation experiment carried out 50 days under laboratory conditions. Residues included rice straw, chicken manure, straw compost and goat manure. Soil samples were analyzed by Bray 1. The results showed that P mineralization in flooded soil was lower than in dry soil.
